 So... thoughts about this?
I mean, someone must have played this by now! Keep it spoiler-free, please.
I haven't played yet, but Pikkukala's copy is here in my PSP so I really should.

PLAY IT. I like it, but I don't have a PSP and you have my copy so I can't finish it. So... play it and find out for yourself!

Honestly? Not good I'm afraid Nothing at all like previous games, it's based around completing missions which are played on a battlefield made entirely of hexes, you can't move freely around the world map or villages, your party member are referred to as "units". It's honestly more of a strategy game a bit like Final Fantasy Tactics. I was sooo looking forward to playing it and sooooo disappointed when I did Jayne

...Well... To be honest? It is a strategy RPG. It was made to be one, and as such, it indeed is very similar to FFT.
Well, here's hoping they'll make a "normal" WA game one of these days. I still need to play this, I'm a fan of SRPGs anyway.

 Re: So... thoughts about this?
Yeah that's what I was trying to say. I don't mind a few SRPG's but I just couldn't take to this one, especially I think as when I got it I was expecting a standard WA game so I was really disappointed Oh well like you said, here's hopng they release a normal WA game again sometime soon! I even bought Enchanted Arms on the PS3 because I had hoped it might be the same but sadly no It was ok but nothing like WA. I guess I'll just keep praying to the gods of Playstation land to send us a good one soon hehe. Jayne

 Re: So... thoughts about this?
well, first of all, I'm new in this forum I love Wild ARMs I've played all of them except Alter Code: F, I think it's the best RPG series in the world yeah! XD I'm spanish so... my english can be a bit confusing sometimes, I apologize before it happens, hope you understand me ^^
Honestly, to me, XF is the best Wild ARMs game along with Wild ARMs 2. Why? Plot, characters, battle system, superb soundtrack (as always), high length, and the difficulty. At the beginning it can be a bit boring 'cause the story doesn't truly begin till some time playing. But I can tell I have cried with the ending more than any game has ever caused me to cry. The story is gradually becoming more and more interesting until the moment that you can't live without knowing what's going to happen xD, at least for me. The main characters are funny and they have a lot of charisma, but not only the main characters, the bad ones are also done in a very good way and they have their own stories, disputes, and more than one time they'll surprise you, sumarizing, the antagonists' cast is the best of the Wild ARMs series (Wild ARMs 4's ones could have been better though -.-", but still an awesome game anyways xD). Sometimes the difficult is so hard that you'll have to try over and over again the same battle, till you find a good strategy, because this game isn't easier by leveling up the characters, all depends on your strategy for each battle and this makes the wins to be more epic xD
I see no failure in Wild ARMs XF, I recommend it to all of you if you haven't played it yet.
(This post has been so difficult to write >.<, can you tell me if my english is at least understandable? lol)
